Introduced in 2017, the vehicle is based on the Volkswagen Group MQB platform, and replaced the \u0160koda Yeti.[8] The car slots between the smaller \u0160koda Kamiq and the larger \u0160koda Kodiaq.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The name Karoq is derived from Aleutian language, spoken by the native inhabitants of Alaskan island Kodiak.
